‘A classic/custom/hot rod show on the Niagara Frontier’

From Jim Myers – 31 July 2013

It being summer and all, Jack cut me some slack so I could go off to a family reunion gathering of the Myers Clan near Niagara Falls, New York.  This amazing week included an informal monthly ‘Thursday evening classic car show’ on the green in the historic village of Lewiston, where I spent a lot of my youth.

The emphasis was definitely on the custom and hot rod side of classics and the owners were mostly of a ‘certain age’, reliving their teenage years in the best possible way, in my opinion.  I’m posting two pics from the show – a blue ’40 Ford Coupe (my all-time favourite car) with my cousins Kevin and Brian and a maroon ’48 Ford Coupe.

Talk about nostalgia…
