The 1935 Fiat Tipo 508S ‘Balilla’

In the early 30s, Fiat introduced an important new small car – the 508 Balilla. A sporty overhead-valve engine, four-speed synchro gearbox and hydraulic brakes made for a lively driving experience. As one might expect from an Italian design, it featured a sleek body, with a long bonnet, cut-away doors, wire wheels and a finned tail, which gave the car an elegant and sporting air.
